The cleaning quality of bearings depends on the hand feeling inspection. After the bearing is cleaned, carefully observe that there will always be some residual oil in the gap between the inner and outer race raceways, rolling elements and cages. When checking, you can scrape off the remaining oil with a clean feeler gauge, apply it on your thumb, and slowly rub it back and forth with your index finger. If there is a rustling sound between fingers, it means that the bearing has not been cleaned, and it should be washed again. Finally, hold the bearing in your hand, hold the inner ring, and rotate the outer ring horizontally. It is qualified to be flexible, non blocking, and non jumping.
For the cleaned bearings, after filling with lubricant, they should be placed on the assembly platform, padded with clean cloth or paper pad under and covered with plastic cloth. When they are to be assembled, they should not be placed on the ground or box. When moving the bearing, it is not allowed to hold it directly by hand. You should wear canvas gloves or wrap the bearing with a clean cloth before holding it. Otherwise, because there is sweat and moisture on your hands, it is easy to produce fingerprint rust on the bearing after contact. For bearings with dust covers or sealing rings on both sides, as well as bearings coated with antirust and lubricating oil, since grease has been injected during the manufacturing process, do not clean them before installation.
Matters needing attention
1. For bearings with separable inner and outer rings, do not replace the outer ring to avoid errors affecting the contact quality.
2. For self-aligning ball and self-aligning roller bearings, the rolling elements in the bearing shall not be taken out and mixed at will, so as to avoid the confusion of installation position and affect the accuracy.
3. When installing the bearing, in order to facilitate the inspection of the bearing code and avoid installation errors, the typing surface of the bearing ring should be placed and installed outward.
4. Heating of bearing and bearing seat shell holes for medium and large bearings with large interference, heating must be carried out before installation in order to facilitate installation; For the closely matched light metal bearing seat shell hole (such as aluminum bearing seat), due to its low hardness, in order to prevent the surface of the bearing seat shell hole from being scratched and roughened when the bearing outer ring is pressed in, it should also be heated and installed.
