When the clutch pedal is released, the spring pressure in the pressure plate will push the pressure plate forward, pressing against the clutch plate, so that the clutch plate and clutch bearing separate, and complete a working cycle.

The cause of the problem

(1) Excessive working temperature leads to overheating. Many drivers in the turn or deceleration, often half step the clutch, some hanging back foot is still on the clutch pedal; Some vehicles free stroke adjustment is too large, to separate the clutch is not completely, in the joint, and separation of state, this state produces sliding friction caused friction between disc and the flywheel, passed to a significant amount of heat release bearing, bearing is heated to a certain temperature, melting grease or dilute flow, make the separation bearing temperature rise further, When the temperature reaches a certain degree, it burns the separation bearing.

(2) Lack of grease and wear. Clutch separation bearings are lubricated with grease. In the actual work, repairmen tend to ignore the lubrication problem of the separation bearing, and do not add grease to the separation bearing during installation, resulting in oil shortage of the clutch separation bearing. The wear of separation bearings without lubrication or less lubrication is often several times to dozens of times that of separation bearings with lubrication. With the increase of wear, the temperature will also increase greatly, which is more likely to damage the separated bearings. Therefore, in the repair process, the lubrication of the separation bearing should be checked when installing the clutch, and grease should be added in time for maintenance.

(3) The free travel is too small or too many loads. According to the requirements, the clearance between the general clutch separation bearing and the separation lever is 2.5mm more appropriate, reflected in the clutch pedal free stroke of 30~40mm, free stroke is too small or no free stroke at all, will make the separation lever and the separation bearing in a constant engagement state. According to the principle of fatigue failure, the longer the bearing working time, the more serious the damage; The more times the bearing is loaded, the more likely it is to produce fatigue failure. And the longer the working time, the higher the temperature of the bearing, the easier it is to burn, reduce the service life of the separated bearing.

(4) The separation lever is adjusted smoothly, the separation fork is deformed, and the separation bearing return spring is good, which also has a great influence on the damage of the separation bearing. The separation adjustment is not smooth, the separation fork deformation, the separation bearing spring does not return, will cause in the clutch work against the separation bearing, the separation bearing is always in the working state, the temperature is getting higher and higher, easy to burn the separation bearing, reduce the service life of the separation bearing.
