The 2022 Global Offshore Wind Power Conference Has Come To An End

Qin Haiyan, secretary-general of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, pointed out that the Global Offshore Wind Power Conference has been successfully held for seven times. Seven years ago, there were many doubts about the development of offshore wind power. Today, doubts no longer exist, replaced by good development opportunities. Europe not only regards the development of offshore wind power as a necessary means to deal with climate change, but also takes it as an important measure to deal with the shortage of energy supply and achieve energy independence, and has set a double development goal. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China has planned five 10 million-kilowatt offshore bases, and the scale of offshore wind power development plans issued by various regions has reached 80 million kilowatts. This will promote the rapid development of offshore wind power. By 2030, the cumulative installed capacity will exceed 200 million kilowatt.
