Since the bearing surface is coated with antirust oil, it must be carefully cleaned with clean gasoline or kerosene, and then coated with clean high-quality or high-speed high-temperature grease before installation and use.
Cleanliness has a great influence on the service life and noise of rolling bearings. However, we would like to remind you that there is no need to clean the fully enclosed bearings.
Most of the newly purchased bearings are covered with oil. This kind of oil is mainly used to prevent the bearing from rusting and has no lubricating effect. Therefore, it must be thoroughly cleaned before installation and use.
Cleaning method:
1. For bearings, if sealed with antirust oil, they can be cleaned with gasoline or kerosene.
2. For those bearings that use thick oil and antirust grease (such as industrial Vaseline antirust), first heat, dissolve and clean them with No. 10 engine oil or transformer oil (the oil temperature cannot exceed 100 ℃), immerse the bearings in oil, take them out after the antirust grease dissolves, and then clean them with gasoline or kerosene.
3. For those bearings that use vapor phase agent, antirust water and other water-soluble antirust materials for rust prevention, other soap cleaning agents can be used, such as 664, Pingjia, 6503, 6501, etc.
4. When cleaning with gasoline or kerosene, hold the inner ring of the bearing with one hand and slowly rotate the outer ring with the other hand until the oil stains on the bearing rolling element, raceway and bracket are completely removed, and then clean the surface of the outer ring of the bearing. When cleaning, you should also pay attention to slow rotation and reciprocating shaking when starting, and do not rotate too much, otherwise, the raceway and rolling body of the bearing are easy to be damaged by dirt. When the amount of bearing cleaning is large, in order to save gasoline and kerosene and ensure the cleaning quality, it can be carried out in two steps: coarse cleaning and fine cleaning.
5. The bearings that are inconvenient to disassemble can be cleaned with tears. That is, scald with hot oil at a temperature of 90 ° --100 ℃ to dissolve the old oil, dig out the old oil in the bearing with an iron hook or spoon, and then wash the residual old oil and engine oil in the bearing with kerosene, and finally wash it with gasoline.
