What are the main troubleshooting aspects of bearing regular maintenance

In terms of bearing speed, the bearing is determined according to the type, size, accuracy, cage type, load, lubrication mode, cooling mode and other factors.


The installation and disassembly of bearings require frequent disassembly and installation in specific applications to ensure that they can be inspected and repaired according to their location. Bearings with separate inner and outer rings, such as cylindrical bearings, needle roller bearings, and conical bearings, are very suitable for this occasion. With the help of the shaft sleeve, the installation procedure of self-aligning ball bearings and self-aligning roller bearings with tapered holes is also simplified.


In some cases, rolling bearings need to apply preload to increase rigidity. This procedure is usually used for deep groove ball bearings, centripetal thrust ball bearings and tapered roller bearings. Inner and outer ring offset, shaft bending, shaft or bearing housing tolerance changes, and matching errors will lead to inner and outer ring eccentricity. To prevent excessive eccentric angle, self-aligning ball bearings, self-aligning roller bearings, or self-aligning bearing seats are better choices. Voice frequency and torque, dynamic bearings are manufactured according to high-precision standards, so voice and torque are small. Deep groove ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings are used in occasions with special requirements for low noise and low torque.


(1) Note that the bearing with seal cannot be cleaned by this method, and the inside of the seal should be kept as is and cannot be cleaned.


(2) The assembly surface should be cleaned with clean gasoline, kerosene, toluene or xylene and other solutions, wiped dry with a clean cloth, and then coated with a thin layer of smooth oil, so that the operation of the device can be convenient and efficient.


(3) When facing the device, open the bearing package, immerse it in the above gasoline and other liquids, and rotate it gently by hand. Ensure that the sealing oil on the surface of the holder, rolling element and raceway is thoroughly cleaned.


(4) When cleaning a large number of bearings, first use hot engine oil with a temperature of 90 ~ 100 ℃ to condense the sealing oil, at the same time, use a seamless and chip free tool to dig up all the old oil, then scald it for a few minutes, then wash the oil with kerosene, and finally clean it with gasoline. After cleaning, wear film gloves and put the bearing on a clean cloth or paper on the workbench to dry.
